Yvonne brings a unique blend of expertise in business leadership and education with a heartfelt passion for mentoring youths and young adults with different needs. Her mission is to guide them towards independence and competency in the workplace and community settings, providing the necessary soft skills and dynamic thinking skills to succeed.
Her academic trajectory reflects her commitment to lifelong learning and professional development. She earned a Master of Education (Special Education) from NTU’s National Institute of Education (NIE) and an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business. Additionally, she has boasts multiple advanced certifications in early childhood leadership and adult learning, which equip her with a well-rounded perspective on both education and corporate governance.
Skilled in collaboration, Yvonne has successfully navigated her role as a center director of various pre-schools. From motivating different professionals to developing Individualized Educational Plans (IEPs) to harnessing strengths of individuals to be stakeholders, Yvonne has been considered as a great asset to corporations who have worked with her.
With diverse connections to the corporate world, and having worked in international settings around the world, Yvonne is able to bridge the gap of young adults entering the corporate world for the first time. Yvonne’s leadership experience of over 31+ years extends beyond education. Her experience in financial corporations' start-ups, where she built teams from the ground up and drove business performance through analytics and strategic planning, further enhances her ability to mentor young adults in workplace settings.
With her supportive and motivational approach, Yvonne is dedicated to motivating and guiding young adults with diverse needs to become self-reliant individuals, ready to contribute meaningfully to their workplaces and communities.
Beyond work, she finds joy in her garden, nurturing koi fish and lotus flowers, symbols of patience, resilience, and growth, values she brings into her professional life.
